Do you have an image which you would like to include in a Joomla! article but the image is to big?
This tutorial we will describe to you how to crop and resize an image using a free graphic editing application called Paint.NET
- Download and install the free image editing software from the paint.net web site.
- Open the Paint.net application
- Choose File, Open and Browse and select the image you would like to crop and resize.
4. Now you have the image open select part of the image you wish to crop by choosing the 
rectangle select tool
5. Using the rectangle select tool select an area of the image you would like to crop by choosing Image & Crop to Selection
6. After you have cropped the image you need to resize the image width and height so it fits inside your Joomla! article
7. From the program menu select Image and resize option
8. A new dialog window will now appear. Enter the width and height of the image. Leave 'Maintain aspect ratio' option selected to keep the proportions of the image. After you you have altered the width and height select the OK button
9. To save the image select the file and save as option from the menu
10. When saving the image a dialog window will now appear called save configuration where you can change the quality of the image.
11. You can now upload and insert the the resized image into the Joomla! content article.
