Fireshot Screen Capture Plugin For Firefox

Firefox has some great plug-ins available for web designers. One useful plug-in is called Fireshot which enables you to create screen shots of complete web pages or just a specific part of the web page.

To get started with Fireshot complete the following

1. Open the Firefox browser and visit https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5648
2. Install the Fireshot plug-in
3. Restart the firefox browser and visit the web site you wish to screen capture
4. In Firefox select the Tools menu and Fireshot
5. You will now see a number of options to capture the whole page or just the visible area of the page


6. As show above once you have captured the screen shot you can edit it, save it as an image or send it directly to email / print.

How do I edit a screen capture?

1. Complete the steps noted above but select the edit button
2. Fireshot will capture the screen shot and open a new window where you will see a number of options to edit the image.
3. As noted in the screen shot below you can add text, pointers, shapes and drawings


4. Once you have made the changes to the screen capture you can then save the capture as an image or print / email the capture plus more.
