How do i change welcome to the front page
After you have installed the latest version of Joomla 1.5 you will notice when you first open the web site the following title will appear in the browser
Welcome to the front page
The above title is not good from a search engine prespective as it does not clearly describe what your web site is about plus it does not include the keywords you are targeting. One of the most important factors which will impact your position acorss the serach engines is your web site title.
To change the Joomla site title "Welcome to the front page" complete the following
- From the administrator area select the Menus and Main Menu option
- Open the Home menu item which will be associated with the articles/frontpage
- Open the Parameters (System) option which appears on the right hand side of the Home Menu you have opened
- You will now see a field which includes the text " Welcome to the Frontpage"
- Change the text to include your new web site title
- Select the SAVE button to save the changes
- Refresh your browser and the new title will now appear on your web site.
